Ripe mirabelle plums, dried apricots, and candied citrus fruits. Underneath, one discovers subtle peat smoke, iodine, and a hint of liquorice from the barrel. Full-bodied and harmonious.
Bas-Armagnac of the Baco and Folle Blanche grape varieties, planted in the commune of Eauze. Growing in the region's sables fauves, Folle Blanche benefits from a high concentration of flavours while remaining delicate and subtle. Baco, meanwhile, enjoys robust and stable growth in the sandy, ferrous soil, offering substance without the added weight one often perceives in grapes grown in clay or limestone soils. When it is combined with the fine floral and ethereal notes of the Folle Blanche, long barrel-ageing results in a complex elegance. Distilled at Château de Campagne from the estate's own wines.
Ripe mirabelle plums, dried apricots, and candied citrus fruits. Underneath, one discovers subtle peat smoke, iodine, and a hint of liquorice from the barrel. Full-bodied and harmonious. Baco lends depth and structure (nuts, tobacco, leather), while Folle Blanche adds freshness and fruit (pear, light-coloured flowers). Laphroaig ageing adds fine smokiness, salty minerality, and spicy wood notes.
